He graduated in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2002 and worked in Sri Lanka for more than five years. In this time Dr Nanda Pathirana worked in the Emergency, ICU, Urology and Gastroenterology departments and practices as a General Practitioner.
Dr Nanda Pathirana moved to Dubbo, Australia in 2009 February and worked in the Emergency departments of Port Macquarie, Kempsey and Wauchope hospitals for more than three years. He was occupied in Forbes Medical Centre and Forbes District hospital for about four and half years as a General Practitioner VMO and commenced working at Bawrunga Medical Services Dubbo since September 2018. He continues to work as a locum registrar in the Emergency Department at Dubbo Base Hospital.
