Bawrunga Aboriginal Medical Services (BAMS) has been self sufficient since 1999, instead of relying on Government Aboriginal health funding.
In order to continue to provide employment, and enterprise development opportunities to other local communities, as well as providing vital high quality free medical and health services, BAMS needs financial support from the public.
Profit generated by BAMS’ medical services and donations will specifically be used to fund social and preventative programs including:
- drug and alcohol counselling
- diabetes program
- women’s and men’s issues
- Mental Health program
- Pharmaceutical assistance program
- Youth health programs
- Transport program
- Dental Health program
- Indigenous training and employment opportunities
- healthy lifestyle and emotional well-being programs
